Description of Service:
The department provides a wide variety of activities for all ages,
including volleyball, softball, baseball, basketball, aerobics,
swim lessons, swim team, and other exercise prorams. The Riverfront
Community Center offers an indoor track, weight room, racquetball
courts, a gym, a pool, and wellness center. The Performing Arts
Center, also part of the department, offers plays performed by the
community theatre group. Over 20 city parks are located throughout
the community. Facilities include tennis courts, ball fields, picnic
shelters, soccer fields, a jogging trail, an outdoor pool, playgrounds,
horseshoe courts, sand volleyball courts, a camp ground and beautiful
open spaces!
Public Appeal for Needs:
Youth league coaches and officials are always needed. Also the public
is encouraged to Adopt-A-Park and join the Friends of the Park.
