REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Suspicious activity is anything that is out of the usual. What do you need to look for? Anyone who does not appear to belong where he/she is at.

It is very necessary that you watch out for each others homes and property. Even though the police get paid to provide for your safety, however, the police cannot be every where at once.

When you report any activity or crime to the police the following information will be most helpful:

VEHICLES:

  • DIRECTION OF TRAVEL
  • COLOR
  • YEAR
  • MAKE
  • BODY STYLE
  • OCCUPANT(S) **HOW MANY
  • LICENSE** STATE AND NUMBER

    • PERSONS:

  • RACE
  • SEX
  • AGE
  • HEIGHT
  • WEIGHT
  • HAIR(COLOR AND LENGTH)
  • CLOTHING
  • ACTIVITY TAKING PLACE

    • ** The information you provide should as accurate as possible and always make notes on direction the person or vehicle left.

    To report any criminal act or suspicious activity you may use the 9-1-1 line, however , the 911 system is designed for the quickest possible connections to the emergency responders that come to your assistance. There are a few people that misuse this system and there is a chance these people will tie up a phone line when someone has a real emergency .

    If you do not have a dire emergency we ask that you use the 7 digit number, but do not hesitate to use the 911 when you need to.

    We also ask that if there are children in the home they be taught the importance of using 9-1-1 when they are scared, lost or in need of help from a police officer.

    You may also use our Suspected Criminal Activity Report form and anonymously mail it to the Leavenworth Police Department.
